Join Theatre Ariel and Philadelphia Artists Collective theatrical investigation of the play President Theodore Roosevelt considered one of his favorites. Israel Zangwill's show popularized the idea of America as a "melting pot" and made an argument for the strength of America lying in the hearts of the people who arrived on its shores believing in its ideals. The message rings as powerfully today as it did then, and its meaning is perhaps even more resonant.

Presented as part of AMERICA 250.
