With our 2026 - 2027 season, Theatre Ariel turns 36-years old! To celebrate, we are launching our Double Chai Giving Campaign. "Chai" means "Life", and because the word for Chai also uses the letters for the number 18, denominations of 18 are considered good luck.

We certainly feel double-lucky as we enter our 36th "Double Chai" (18x2 = 36) season!

​That's because the last three years have seen tremendous growth for Theatre Ariel. Today, we are stronger, bolder, and more recognized and respected than ever before. After returning to fully-produced mainstage performances for the first time in more than 15 years, hiring full-time artistic and part-time managerial leadership, and
expanding audience and donor engagement, we have doubled our budget and audience. Theatre Ariel is poised for ongoing meaningful growth, but we have achieved all we can at our present capacity. The time is now for Theatre Ariel to move to the next level with expanded staffing, more investment in production and programming, and greater audience impact across generations.

Projects we have helped develop, such as Marsha Blovotnick and the Marvelous Magical Chicken Soup, by Dan Kitrosser and The Goldsmith by Sharone Sayegh, have gone on to have life at other theatres around the country. We are a small organization, but our impact is large.
