hardlove

Hannah and Zvi grew up together in the ultra orthodox world of Jerusalem. They are in love and married, until he turns his back on his faith. Twenty years later, the children of their second marriages have fallen in love bringing their parents face to face to once again confront their choices, their love and their faith.

"The characters Hannah and Zvi are two parts of oneself in struggle: the struggle to believe in God versus to deny Him" says Motti Lerner. Motti Lerner is one of Israel's most provocative playwrights; his work has been produced by Israel's leading theaters as well as companies around the globe.

Enjoy an evening of theater and food at Milkboy. Theatre Ariel thanks the Milkboy for donating their space and encourage our audience to come early to purchase a light dinner or coffee and dessert.

This reading is supported in part by a Kehillah of Lower Merion Community Grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
